Haven’t written a post in a long time, but this is note worthy…I promise.
So, I also haven’t been keeping the people around me updated with what goes on in my life and I keep telling myself that life is getting a little boring. Man, did I speak WAAAAY too soon.
I’ll cut to the chase and tell you about my fabulous morning which will hopefully continue into a better day. =)
In order to do this, I have to tell you that I drive to school, get onto the freeway and exit 24th St. Take in mind that the 24th exit is a sharp ramp…it is recommended that one exits at 25mph. That’s on good road conditions, today, it was RAINING and the road was obviously wet.
*take a breather*
Fabulous Morning Part I
I’m exiting at approximately 28 mph and next thing I know, I can’t turn the wheel! Well, guess what? My tires lose traction (I’m guessing it’s my front passenger side tire that lost traction first?) and I spin out (almost 360 degree spin, but I’m about 30 degrees off of 360..haha). I freak out the car behind me (they stop for a little bit to see if I’m going to move my car out of the grass and back onto the road). For some odd reason, I decide to turn off my car instead of reorienting myself and get back on the road.
Weird.
Anyway, I start my car back up again and get back on the road. I got some mud on the left side of my car, I wish I had my camera so I could show you where the mud actually flew…anyway, there was some on my rear windshield and of course, my cheap hub caps are all muddied up..YEA! Spin outs are dangerous, a little scary, but a tad fun if you ignore the first two parts of the process.
*Intermission…*
I get to school in one piece, perfectly fine. My car is a little dirty, but also, fine (I hope. I’ll know if my tires and alignment are ok later).
Fabulous Morning….Part II
Since it’s faster for me to walk to class than wait for the bus. I decide to walk to class (going from Manor Garage to UTC). Anyway, I get to Jester and for some stupid reason, I take my next step on the curb instead of the sidewalk like normal people and I slip and fall backwards.
*Keep note that I watch the floor when I walk to make sure I don’t step on anything I wouldn’t want to step in (like gum or bird poop — fresh or old). Therefore, I saw where I was going to put my left foot, put my left foot in the desired coordinates and felt my shoe lose traction, saw the scene in front of my face whoosh upwards towards the sky and felt myself fall backwards and felt the world stop for a split second – it’s one of those moments where everything happens in slow motion. (I’m stepping up back onto the sidewalk from the road if ya’ll can’t tell). My shoes have little traction…very smart move, eh? Yea….(sarcasm).
Moving on…
I end up with one leg in a small puddle of water and a slightly scraped hand. Time kind of stops for a little while while I just lay there for a split second and I think: “Alls good.” Somewhere in the back of my mind, I’m also thinking – my day can’t get any worse; this just made my day. Someone who was walking by as I fell and saw me fall extended a helping hand and asked if I was ok. Yea, I’m fine. My day is going on just the way I planned. (I didn’t say this, of course).
8 minutes after the fact of me falling on my rear end like a complete idiot…
Here I sit, typing this, wondering what next great event will happen (to me) next. Definitely, I won’t be caught in the rain without an umbrella, because I brought one with me today! There’s a possibility that that could happen because the umbrella could break on me for no apparent reason.
People, my way of starting off a day, is a great way to start off a day. Everyone should try it out sometime. It may make your life a little more exciting, just a tad.
Note to self: Try not to start off every day with such fabulous events. However fun they may be.
Hope everyone has a great day (in a safe way) and not my kind of great, fabulous day. =)
…Now, to find a car wash that can get all that mud off my car!
Cheers!

PS: I am still writing Chapter 4. Not to worry, it’s not another story shoved into a sector on my hard drive to collect dust/electrons/whatever it can collect.
